Make Money From e-Bay

EBay Selling over the past few years has gone from strength to strength. But aside from selling your own stuff, it has become popular to purchase hot items before they sell out and then sell them on eBay for twice the value. It’s easy to open an account and from there a eBay shop. All you need is to go in search of the products that people will come looking to buy. You can sell used goods and buy goods wholesale. Some ebayers are turning over tens of thousands of dollars in revenue every month! Some have even closed down their offline trading premises to trade solely on eBay. EBay is a marketplace that brings buyers and sellers together. It is not about e-advertising or e-marketing. It’s about eCommerce.
eBay is the World Online Marketplace, enabling trade on a local, national and international basis. With a diverse and passionate community of individuals and small businesses, eBay offers an online platform where millions of items are traded each day.
eBay was born over Labor Day week and in 1995,when Pierre Omidyar, a computer programmer, wrote the code for an auction website that he ran from his home computer. Today, Omidyar’s hobby is known as eBay, the world’s largest online marketplace-where practically anyone can sell practically anything at anytime. It’s an idea that Business Week once called “nothing less than a virtual, self-regulating global economy.” With the presence in 39 markets, including the U.S, and approximately 84 million active users worldwide, eBay has changed the face of internet commerce. In 2007, the total value of sold items on eBay’s trading platforms was nearly $60 billion. This means that eBay users worldwide trade more than $1,900 worth of goods on the site every second.
The benefit to consumers is clear. eBay provides an open trading platform where the market determines the value of items that are sold. Over the years, the site has become a cultural barometer of sorts, providing a view into what objects consumers want most at anytime. Since its initial public offering in 1998, the company has continued to innovate and connect people-and just through its marketplaces. Two critical acquisitions have made eBay Inc. a global leader in online payments and communications as well-PayPal, it has149 million registered users; and Skype, with more than 309 million registered users as of early 2008.Other key acquisitions have strengthened eBay Inc.’s portfolio of ecommerce companies, including shopping.com, a pioneer in online comparison shopping; Stubhub, a leading online marketplace for the resale of event tickets;rent.com, the most visited online apartment listing service in the U.S; StumbleUpon, an online solution that helps people discover and share content on the web; and market-leading online classifieds sites including LoQUo.com, Intoko, and Netherlands-based Markplaats.nl. The company has also grown its classified business through Kijiji, which launched in the U.S. in the 2007.
The eBay Community is made up of more than 100 million people around the world who buy and sell in the eBay marketplace. Our users include individual buyers and sellers, small businesses, and even enterprises. From the buyer who shops on eBay as a primary source of income, eBay becomes a part of our members’ lives.
Since the early days, eBay members have helped one another to be successful on the site. This strong spirit of camaraderie based on the eBay Community Values, continues to thrive. Though the eBay community hub, members meet and form meaningful relationships with one another via discussion boards, chat rooms, Online Workshops, eBay Groups, and the Answer Center for member-to-member interactions. Everyday, members use these forums to get help from other experienced users, share their best practices with others who are just starting out, or just socializing.
eBay is the world’s leading online marketplace. eBay brings together a family of brands that collectively pioneer and connect communities built on commerce, trust, and opportunity. Working together, the unique companies that form eBay, Inc. create opportunities for people around the world that often transform their lives. At the same time, eBay has pioneered a group of companies that support social purpose, and are financially successful, that people around the world respect and take pride in.
eBay serves community members, not customers. eBay employees are committed to a belief in personal growth, collaboration, and the chance to make a difference everyday. Giving eBay members opportunities to earn thousands and tens of thousands, even every month.
